This is a Nice Soft Solder kit ,  a 60 Watt iron, a Iron Stand, a 3rd Hand to hold things safely, Our Elven Craft solder , flux  a couple of flux brushes a solder pick and pry tool, and a jar of the bestsoldering tip cleaner you will find: Sal Ammonic’s DeGunker.I recommend you buy extra of the Jump Ring solder (NO KIT) as it can be added with no extra shipping cost. This solder has radical properties: limited to no skin reaction (hypoallergenic), 50% higher shear strength,  greater elasticity, a higher melt point (about 600F) and much tougher. We feel it is patentable and will give it a trade name soon. For now we are testing it and offering it with the temporary name of NoNameium. The cost is only a fraction over what we charge for the Jump Ring solder that we send with this kit. It is a FAR better solder. We will happily swap the listed solder in the kit and the Jump Ring solder we advise you to add above. We will even send a 1 foot piece of the old stuff so you can test both the skin reaction and toughness. All we would ask it that you give your honest opinion of it in your feedback to us with permission to quote. This kit will work with all soft solders. What is a soft solder you say?? Good question, I have written an Ebay Guide on it and you should read it: the info there might well save you money and time. Briefly, there are a range of solders which are characterized as having low melt ingredients. These can be lead, tin, antimony, bismuth and a few others. All the soft solder I sell so far have 6 percent silver and the balance is tin. Silver is NOT a low melt item, but in THAT percentage it is.  It makes the tin a bit higher in melt point, much stronger and more tenacious in grip. It sticks to most metals with an appropriate flux to help the adhesion.
I sell 3 varieties of solder: Wide ribbon (1/4″), Narrow ribbon (1/16″) and wire (1/16″). Look for them in kits which offer a choice of appropriate fluxes for jewelry, craft, electronics and even gunsmithing. Like I said, it sticks to about anything. I even used some to repair a steel cable in a  lawn tractor. It is still holding after 2 years.
Need hard solders? I carry most varieties with all needed tools in a wide range of shapes. Tough jobs, not sure of what is best?? Just ask.
