The GLIDECAM X-10 is very similar in design to the Glidecam Smooth Shooter; however the X-10 comes with both sections of its support arm being able to move vertically, whereas the Smooth Shooter comes with only the front section of its support arm being able to move vertically. Also, the X-10 comes with a trimmable Arm-to-Vest Connector, whereas the Smooth Shooter’s Arm-to-Vest Connector is not trimmable.
The GLIDECAM X-10 system works by isolating your body’s motion from your camera, while your camera is balanced in a relatively motionless and isolated state. The GLIDECAM X-10′S Support Arm can be boomed up and down, as well as pivoted in and out, and side-to-side. It is the combined booming and pivoting action of the Support Arm that isolates your motions from the camera in a way that creates smooth camera footage.
The GLIDECAM X-10 does not come with a Glidecam 2000 Pro or a Glidecam 4000 Pro; however, it is specifically designed to be used with them. If you already own one of our hand-held stabilizers, then you will be able to use it by simply attaching it to the end of the GLIDECAM X-10’s Support Arm. Neither the Glidecam 2000 Pro, nor the 4000 Pro need to be modified to work with the GLIDECAM X-10. You can use your camcorder’s flip out LCD monitor, or a monitor that is attached to the base of your Glidecam 2000 Pro or 4000 Pro. This allows for remote viewing of the camera’s image without disturbing the orientation of the system.
When using the Glidecam 2000 Pro or Glidecam 4000 Pro in hand-held mode, it is your arm that carries all of the weight. However, when the 2000 Pro or 4000 Pro are used with the GLIDECAM X-10, it is the GLIDECAM X-10’s Spring-loaded Support Arms that carry all of the weight. Because of this, you will now be able to shoot for extended periods of time, whereas before, the stress associated with hand-holding the weight reduced your shooting time.

The placement and implementation of these double-shielded bearings produce minimal friction and allow the Dyna-Elastic™ Support Arm to pivot and boom very smoothly, and with virtually no noise.
Four high-carbon alloy, Extension Springs are employed within the Support Arm’s hardcoat anodized Exo-Skeletal Shells. Utilizing Class Three Levers, the energy of the Extension Springs acts upon internal Fulcrum Points, and provides the Support Arm with its lifting power. The spring tension is field adjustable and allows for varying camera weights.
Our proprietary spring Inter-X-Change™ system makes the installation and removal of the springs quick and easy. The Support Arm can be setup and used in either a Two-Spring Mode, or a Four-Spring Mode. JonyJib introduced the new JonyJib Pro Modular Camera Crane back in 2006 at NAB where it received a warm reception. With the success of that product, we decided to discontinue our ‘original’ 9-18 foot (2.75 to 5.5 meters) JonyJib product for this new design. Thus the JonyJib2 was born…                      
     This jib is the same design as the JonyJib Pro and is upgradeable to the Pro when your needs require a camera height higher than 18 feet. This jib package is fitted with the MotorHead 20 motorized pan & tilt unit, ZR3000 Zoom & Motorized Focus controls and a 7″ LCD monitor all powered by a handy power distribution box and 12 volt power supply. This turnkey jib rides atop an included Manfrotto heavy duty tripod and dolly.     What sets this crane apart from others is its ability to telescope and nest within itself. This crane’s modularity is built on its lightweight, octagonal, aluminum, black powder coated 4 foot extension sections which start at the tail of the jib, with the largest diameter, and progressively get smaller as you get closer to the camera. The best part is, the arm breaks down to fit into a 48” tripod bag or case. The tubes, pivot bracket, camera platform, rear control center and miscellaneous items fit into a custom ‘optional’ foam cutout Pelican 1750 case. The electronic components fit into a custom ‘optional’ foamed Pelican 1650.    The JonyJib2 is expandable from 9’ (2 sections) to 18’ (5 sections) in 3’ increments. (These are height measurements. Our 9 micron ground glass is ground by hand and is made from a nikon plano lens used in a nikon focusing screen. Unlike the canon EE-a or EE-s this ground glass is very durable and bright. We have done alot of research to bring all the best elements together at about 1/3 of the cost.
“Depth Of Field” Demystified When a lens focuses on a
subject at a distance, all subjects at that distance are sharply focused.
Subjects that are not at the same distance are out of focus and theoretically
are not sharp. However, since human eyes cannot distinguish very small degree of
unsharpness, some subjects that are in front of and behind the sharply focused
subjects can still appear sharp. The zone of acceptable sharpness is referred
to as the depth of field. Thus, increasing the depth of field increases the
sharpness of an image. For nikon lenses : nikon non ai lens mount. All lens’s used with this adapter must be Nikon Non Ai lensThe following cameras may require the

As with any DOF adapter the image is flipped upside down and backwards. This can be easily corrected in post. This  Adapter is builded for smaller camcorders. Camcorders like Canon HV20, HV30.It allows you to attach a 35mm photographic lens to your HD or DV Camera to get that true FILM LOOK with an extremely shallow Depth of Field or Narrow Field of Focus. This along with 24 frames per second shooting and you will have an amazing picture seen mainly by motion picture film cameras. The image gets projected from a 35mm lens (not included) onto a piece of ground glass in our adapter that is attached to the front of your video camera.
