The farther away the lens is, the closer the focus, the greater the magnification.This extension tube does not affect image quality as there is no optics inside. I tried with all my M
lenses…  28/2.8, 35/2.5 (voigtlander), 50/2, 90/2.8…  all fit fine
and take great pictures.  Note that for some super-wide/fisheye lenses…
the lens rear protrusion might protrude too deep, and cause trouble with
G1..   when mounted on the adapter, the lens rear protrusion should
not exceed adapter mount surface (see the last picture, my 28/2.8 was shown
mounted on the adapter)
