Up for auction is an important auction rare 16mm reels of interesting film from the Great Depression and the Beginning of World War Two!
Circa 1932-1942, the films are mounted on 400 foot reels.
The films are mostly black and white but there is also some early color which has faded. A lot of scenes are not titled so its hard to determine where they are but there are clues. For example, there were several Royal Navy and a carrier sailing close to the ship that the photographers were on, I assume they were leaving from somewhere such at Southhampton but its hard to tell. Navy vessels look like they are in the open sea and I saw markings and I believe a Navy carrier (likely 1936-1938).
Some of the films have subtitles: Subtitles are numerous and titles include: “Hindenberg Flying over the Queen Mary” (1936); “Summer 1939 U.S. and England”; “Llamgollen 1940″; :Lake Winderemere Ferry”; “Yorkminister”; “Charlotte Leaves Sherbourne” (1935) (I think she was attending a private school there); “Hunting Smugglers”; :Lands End”, (1936); “Cornwall”; “Exeter”; “Bognor”; “Worchester”; “Glochester”; “Malvern”; “On board ship on way to Boston”; “Family 1938-1942″ etc etc etc!
Great memories of an family who lived in both the United States and the United Kingdom 80 years ago!

AUCTION POLICY: I offer all my items with as accurate description as possible. I am not an expert. If by chance an item is returned shipping charges are not refunded for either direction. Please note that I have inspected the film and most of the film is clean and in good condition for its age. I have not projected the film but I have inspected the film. I have watched 2/5 of the film via a film loop and it was interesting to me. I see a Zeppelin for example but I cannot determine it is the Hinderberg or not. It is stated in the subtitle on the film prior to that scenes and appears to be so. There are other vessels and interesting scenes. There is some fading and wear on some of the scenes but most of the film has very nice contrast. Several of the splices will need to be redone and there are some bends in areas. I do the very best that I can to describe the films and I very very sincerely value your business. I combine shipping costs for multiple auctions. 5 farm Jeep Films Very Rare CJ2 Farm equipment Post WW2

Description
This DVD is about the incredible “Farm Jeep”. A concept that was created at the end of WW2.  The Jeep was so loved by the troops during WW2 that  every soldier wanted a jeep when they got home.  Because of all of the servicemen request for a jeep, Willys-Overland started to build the civilian Farm Jeep with lots of farm equipment for the soldier who was coming home. Great idea, but it was a total flop because the US Army was selling surplus Jeeps (after the war) for 50.00 and so, veterans got there Jeep, but not from the Willys-Overland Co. The rest was history as they say.  The Farm Jeep went away.
We are a small father and son business and we collect old 16mm film. 5 yrs ago, we bought 6 reels of very rare Farm Jeeps. These reels are all very rare and I have had several people ask if I would release the footage. We hesitated because it is all silent. We don’t think we will sell a lot of these, but for the enthusiast, you should be very happy.   We hope you’ll Strap in and Enjoy.
Please note: We hate to charge 27.00 for these DVD, but we paid a lot of money for these films and I doubt we will ever re-coupe what we spent. At least they are saved from the dump heap! Thanks again!
1st Film; “The Farm Jeep”. This is color footage of a California Jeep, mostly around Vineyards. From Discs, to cultivating, to Pesticide delivery, to trailer and equipment, to hauling fertilizer, to a construction site. All silent and Very nice footage. Runtime 10:07 Min’s

2nd Film; “Jeep In Action”.    This film too is in color and is somewhere in Santa Fe California. Looks like a great green CJ2 testing lots of farm equipment. There is Tines, Rippers, coil shanks, Discs, and Ganans with several folks running the Jeep. Even women get into the act. Runtime 7:12 Min’s
3th Films; “Universal Jeep”. This is a color film with Lots of great equipment. Farm discs, Pesticide Jeep, Chain Saw Jeep, Jeep and Trailer, Winch work to pull down old trees, to a very interesting “Ditch Witch Jeep”. Plus another construction site where the jeep has a DOzer and a bucket in use. Great color too. Hope it will be entertaining for you too.       Runtime 10:15 Min’s

4th Film; ”Jeep at Work”. This is the longest film of the bunch and is in B/W. Created by the Cox Co., this film was designed to sell all of the different types of equipment that could be used by the Jeep. Tines, Post Hole digger, Ganans, Plows, Dozer, Trailer and equipment. many of the pieces are shown on how to hookup and use. Really fascinating footage. 24:20 Min’s

5th Film: “Misc Jeeps”. This is short footage of some very interesting footage of the Jeep being used for mulitple uses. 1st, A Bear Jeep. A guy how has a pet Jeep to sell his Douglas Gasoline. 2nd, Appliance Jeep used as a pickup truck, 3rd A Blue Print Jeep. 4th a Tow Truck Jeep, and a Ranch Jeep. 35mm Technicolor Alfred Hitchcock trailer – The Birds

Here is a nice 1963 Alfred Hitchcock trailer for the classic film- The Birds. In my opinion- this is the best of the Alfred Hitchcock trailers.
This trailer is printed on 1963 Eastman Kodak 35mm safety film stock. The colors in this trailer are superb since they were printed by the now discontinued dye-transfer Technicolor process. This trailer has been stored in a cool place for many years. This trailer has NO vinegar smell and NO warping.
I ran this film in my 35/70mm theatre and it looked in good condition. I only noticed 2 cement splices in this film.  The first cement splice occured about a minute in and the second cement splice occured near the very end of the trailer. This trailer does have some minor wear but it looked good on the large theater screen. By the way- my digital camera was malfunctioning and my camera put a thin blue line in the middle of all the pictures I took. This blue line is not on the actual theatre screen image- you can see the thin blue line even appears in the photo of the trailer sitting on the White table cloth.I later examined this trailer on my rewind bench and I saw a cement splice that I hadn’t noticed when I ran the trailer. This cement splice occurs about 4 foot from the very beginning of the trailer.   This trailer has one very minor edge repair that was repaired with one inch of edge repair tape on one edge.    I took a number of digital pictures of the actual screen image- you can see them below. None of my digital pictures turned out very well- they all had a thin Blue line in them.   This 35mm trailer has a running time of 5 minutes and 2 seconds and it is mounted on one 35mm film core. At the very end of this trailer- we see the words- “The Birds Could Be The Most Terrifying Motion Picture” and then the trailer ends here.
This 35mm trailer will weigh about 4 pounds in the shipping box, so ground postage in the Continental USA will be $3.64 – by US Mail- 4th class media rate. I will very gladly combine shipping on multiple films that you buy from me. Please email me for the much higher International shipping costs.    It may be possible to ship this trailer in one Priority Mail® International small Flat Rate Box.       If I do this, it will take 6 – 10 Days to arrive in International destinations and the cost will be $13.95. This cult sci-fi extravaganza, STARCRASH, is the ultimate guilty pleasure–a campy outerspace epic that some have affectionately compared to that beloved sci-fi classic, “PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE.” It is an Italian production, released in the U.S. in 1979 by Roger Corman. The movie is also known by its alternate title, “The Adventures of Stella Star.”
This is a 16mm color print of STARCRASH, which stars sexy CAROLINE MUNRO (naked, except for two small shreds of material), Marjoe Gortner, Christopher Plummer, and David Hasselhoff. Incredibly, the musical score was composed by legendary JOHN BARRY, responsible for the scores of most of the James Bond movies, Dances with Wolves, and Midnight Cowboy, among others.
The story involves the escapades of voluptuous planet-hopping vixen Stella Star (Caroline Munro), who–garbed in an appropriately skimpy two-piece futuristic bikini–travels the stars with her nervous robot, Elle, to do battle with the evil Count Zarth Arn. Along the way, they land on a jungle planet where they are captured by a tribe of scantily-clad female warriors….an ice planet where they are chased by a knife-wielding, 50-foot-tall topless female robot….a planet peopled by savage cavemen who attack Stella and tie her to a long pole to hang like a wild animal. Several more planets are visited, filled with exotic dangers and thrills. It’s a special-effects-laden production, inspired of course by “Star Wars,” which had just been released. Filled with campy dialog, futuristic battles, pretty women, strange creatures, and all manner of sci-fi adventure.
The print is in pretty good condition, complete with all titles and credits, on two full reels, no V.S.. The color is fairly good, with some minor fading. There are two unobtrusive light green lines at the outer sides of the frame at the outset of reel 1, which come and go, and eventually diminish and disappear; and some light green lines through reel 2, mostly on the right side of the screen, with one green line that shows up in the middle and lasts a minute or two. Nothing that hurts enjoyment of the film. No splices to speak of; an average used print, complete and in overall decent shape.
At the time the film was released, it was panned by critics, and later gained a cult following:
In DVD Delirium, the reviewer panned the film calling the plot, “something akin to something written by excitable primary school kids than adults.” The film, “uses every trick in the special effects book … and bungles the lot of them hopelessly. It also rips chunks off Star Wars,” as well as showing “‘evidence’ of inspiration” from Barbarella, Invaders from Mars, and Jason and the Argonauts. The reviewer concludes that, this film “is one of those movies that shovels on the ineptitude with such verge that it does achieve a ‘must see’ sinful pleasure status.”[
Kurt Dahlke of DVD Talk said, "Starcrash is a masterpiece of unintentionally bad filmmaking. Pounded out in about 18 months seemingly as an answer to Star Wars, Luigi Cozzi's knock-off buzzes around with giddy brio, mixing ridiculous characters with questionably broad acting, an incredibly simple yet still nonsensical plot, and budget special effects that transcend into the realm of real art. It's a completely ridiculous movie, that's great to watch with a few friends and a beer or two. And it still manages to make my jaw drop."
R.L. Shaffer of IGN gave the film an extremely positive review, rating it a 10/10, and calling it "The single greatest sci-fi camp fest ever put on celluloid" and saying its in league with cult classics like Troll 2, Riki-Oh and The Room.[8]
J.C. Maçek III of WorldsGreatestCritic.com wrote, “If Starcrash had a much bigger budget, a better script and fresh ideas that weren’t mined from other, vastly superior franchises… it would still suck. That’s right, folks, it has to aspire to suck.”
