This offer is for a great set of brass scale weights. These graduate in size and fit inside one another. They range in weight starting at 1/4 oz to 8 oz. This is a seven piece set. The weight at top (with handle) is marked 1/4, the next one is also marked 1/4 oz but it is stuck to the 1/2 oz. You can soak them to separate. Each weight is marked with oz. The unit of measure is Troy ounces. The 8 and 4 oz weights are marked Troy. This set is matching. The condition is excellent (a few normal scratches) It measures 1 & 1/2″ tall the diameter of top is 2 & 1/8″ and the bottom is 1 & 5/8″. Please feel free to ask any questions. THEY ARE OLD, AND I HAVE FOUND THEM WITH THEIR BRASS PLATES AND ALSO 11 OLD VERIGATED SIZED WEIGHTS. THERE IS AN OLD CAST IRON BASE MEASURING 10 1/2″ W X 6″ H AT ITS WIDEST POINT, AND WITH A DEPTH OF 4 3/4″. EACH BRASS PLATE IS 4 3/4″ IN DIAMETER. For Auction: One old hanging Fairbanks Grain Scale. Very easy set-up and stow away.

size………………box is 14 1/2 x 8 x 5 inches and 7 1/2 pounds
condition………very good, shows some light wear and age, excellent alignment and action with proud detail on beam, box straight and strong with nice coloring, no key but box closes firmly and stays shut (unlike picture that shows box ajar)
remarks………..mark XVII on bottom of pail

It is blue in color and in good condition.  The pan and hanger have been repainted.  Scale measures 8 inches across the face, pan is approximately 12 1/2 inches across.  Total height is 26 1/2 inches.  Capacity is 20 lbs.  Made in Philadelphia, PA  Series 820.  Shipping weight is 5 lbs.   Cost to ship parcel post with insurance and confirmation is $14.50  Check out the other great scale we have up for bid.
