Huge lot antique tambour lace in vintage chocolate box

This is a wonderful lot of antique, mainly tambour lace edgings dating to around 1900. There are some long lengths – up to 150cm, many around 100cm, and some smaller, deeper trims and edgings. Most are in good condition – there are some scattered holes, but most of the lace is in good condition. There are 24 lengths in all – a really huge lot of both handmade and machine made lace. I found this hoard carefully stored in tissue paper in this fabulous hexagonal 1940s vintage chocolate box, complete with its original bow. The box measures 32 x 30 x 8cm and is in excellent condition. This is a lovely lot of antique lace – perfect if you make wedding accessories. Gorgeous!

 MAGNIFICENT DECADENT & HUGE VINTAGE FRENCH FLORAL CHATEAU CURTAINS

This is the most  stunning pair of shabby chic vintage French printed linen chateau curtains with gorgeous country rose and floral vignettes embellished with acanthus leaf scrolls and curls. They are the of the highest quality, fully lined and interlined with the three row rufflette curtain tape still in place . They weight over 15 kilos! I have given postage options below.
 
They have a wonderful vintage appeal and are very easy on the eye. They are heavyweight, decadent and very luxurious; pristine clean and ready to hang! Even the linings are still pristine!
 
Their condition is superb and the curtain tape is still in place along the top edge and they are gathered but the tape could be opened out as required.
 
Made of a good, weighty heavy linen they drape, fall and billow beautifully. They really make a statement!
 
 
Against a fresh creamy background the design  is worked in soft caramels, eau de nil, pinks, blues and greens. The large scrolling acanthus leaf lattice curls are a soft French caramel grey.
 
Each curtain measures;
 
Length 10 feet (260cms)
 
Width along bottom edge 8 feet 6″(260cms)
 
The tops with the curtain tape in place are gathered but the tape can be undone or tightened as required. The tape sits about 6″ down from the top edge allowing the top to stand proud.
 
The linen is a heavyweight, tight smooth weave and with the lining and interlining would be superb to keep out the winter cold as well as being perfectly shabby chic all year round!
 
There is such an abundance of wonderful period fabric here that you could perhaps also cover a sofa or matching chairs?!

Charming textile find! ~ I found these lovely totes on my last European buying trip! ~ These textiles were given away with purchases and stamped with the store name on the side! I was told that they date from around 1910-1920. This was a clothing store give-away market bag!~ The writing reads ” Maison du Vetement Anglande Freres, Montendre” It was a clothing store owned by the Anglade Brothers, in Montendre , France ( central France) . This tote is woven using a heavy straw fiber, the stamping is in black. The bottom expands to be filled and there is a lovely little woven and tied carry at the top! ~*~ I think these textiles are charming, and would look lovely with some fabric tucked inside and just hung on a door or placed on a cupboard etc! The straw has become slightly brittle with time, so they aren’t the kind of tote that I would recommend for daily use, more for decorative display! Each bag has a tiny bit of damage somewhere, but generally in lovely condition for display purposes! ~ ~ I found a number of these together, and I am selling them individually so each varies slightly , but only very slightly! ~ I will have to post these in a box as they are more rigid and to be sure they don’t get damaged in the post, best to send in a box. The shipping is for priority and I can fit 7 into a flat rate box ~*~
MEASUREMENTS : Each tote measures approx. 17 inches wide by 9 inches deep. When fully expanded , the bottom width measures approx 10 inches wide! ~*~
