Fresh out of Southern, Michigan estate we are able to offer this original, 1890’s era, High Wheel Child’s carriage. This wonderful antique carriage was safely tucked away has not seen the light of day in decades. As I’m sure you are aware of you just don’t see these original Victorian carriages all that often. It is quite fancy as you will see and much nicer than the average Victorian buggy from that time period. I would imagine that this carriage was fairly expensive when it was purchased new some 110 years or so ago. It really does have a wonderful look and it would be fabulous to display a few of your prized German or French bisque dolls. As you will see we are selling it in all original as found condition which is pretty good given its age. There is some expected wear to the original fabric and some damage to the wicker on the very front- see pictures. The majority of the buggy is in exceptionally nice condition. All in all it was very well cared for and is in nice solid and sturdy useable condition. It measures approx. 4 feet long x 41″ tall x 24″ wide. The new owner is to arrange for pick up in Toledo, Ohio or Tecumseh, Michigan. We also travel to Shipshewana Indiana most every Wednesday and could meet you there as well. Which ever place would be best and easiest for you is fine with us. We would also be willing to store this for a month or two if that would better help you to plan the trip and personally pick up your Victorian baby carriage. All we would ask is that you put approx. 1/2 down at the completion of the auction and the balance would be due at pick up. PLEASE FEEL FREE to email me with any questions you may have and I will be happy to help! NO RESERVE! GOOD LUCK! Thanks! Jeff

Description:

Here we have an early antique baby or doll carriage.

Features wooden head adjustment, padded sides with move-able top and brakes which makes us believe this was actually used for a baby. The wheels are metal with rubber and measure 10″ in diameter. The paint appears to be original and is in good condition. The cloth that lines the interior also appears to be original however should be replaced. There is a hidden compartment underneath where the baby would be laying that is covered by a piece of cloth covered wood that can be lifted up.  4 newer bolts were added by the previous owner to attach the carriage to the frame and that is the only thing that was added that is not original.  It has a beautiful black painted turned handle that measures 15 1/2″L.

Overall Measurements ~

Length ~ 36″ from front of carriage to the end of the handle
Height ~ 30″T to the top of the cover

Width ~ 11″
Actual size of woven carriage part only ~ 23″L X 11″W

Beautiful piece that will surely display wonderfully in that period style room!

Before You Bid:

Please view each photo carefully. I try to include enough information and note any obvious imperfections. I am an honest, reputable seller and hope you are an honest, reputable buyer. 99% of my items listed are vintage and as such they are not new. They have lived a long, eventful life before coming to you or me. I take great care to describe items as accurately as possible. If you have any questions, please ask them before auction ending, preferably leaving me enough time to answer them. Colors can be tricky to photograph due to cameras, lighting, computers and personal interpretation. Items may be from barns, attics or estates that are dusty, musty, with pets, smoke and environmental conditions of which I have no control. Please bid with confidence, I am very proud of my feedback.

Shipping :

There are no hidden costs in shipping charges ~ We charge according to the weight of the package and have a small handling fee from $1.00 to $4.00 which is added to cover packaging materials…Bubble Wrap, Peanuts, etc. We spend a lot of effort to ensure safe packaging and thank you for your understanding. We prefer to ship fragile items via priority mail as we find priority packages are handled better. We ship orders Monday through Friday. If you win more than one of our auctions, we are more than happy to combine packaging to reduce postage costs.

Payment :

Payment is expected within 7 days of auction close. Your bid is a binding contract. If payment is not received within 7 days, we will assume the transaction will not be completed and will contact Ebay for non-payment and start the process to re-list the item.

ANTIQUE GREEN CAST IRON NUTMEG SPICE NUT COFFEE GRINDER

Current price:

$22

This is in very good condition and I think would be for grinding nutmeg, spices or coffee? This has 6 round blades and a wood handle. This measures 7″ high and the original paint is also in very good condition. This is unmarked so I am not certain of the maker. Most of the things from this estate were German and I’m guessing this is as well. Please look closely at my photos for details. Please use the shipping calculator at the end of the auction listing to determine shipping and handling charges to your location.  Combined auctions will save on shipping, so be sure to check out our other items!
Payments not received within 10 days of email confirmation will forfeit the item to a backup bidder unless other arrangements are made by myself and the bidder.
Import duties, taxes, and charges are NOT INCLUDED in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer’s responsibility. Please check with your country’s customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding / buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as “gifts” – US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.

“The Great Majestic” Junior, salesman sample cooking stove Circa 1900, made in St. Louis, MO. There is a stamp that says “PAT’D FEB 27, 1900″ and markings on the back that are “40 JR  40 JL” This is a complete original stove. Cast iron with nickel legs and matching trim. All drafts and lids operational. The lifter for the burners is even included. This stove is my uncle’s and his great grandfather had given it to his grandmother when she was a little girl. Stove weighs approx. 80 lbs, 30 1/2″ tall, 19 1/2″ across burners, 16″ from floor to burners, and 15″ deep. As you can see in the last picture one of these same stoves was sold at an antique auction recently for $11,500. Our reserve is set much lower than that. We are not antuique dealers so we cannot give the , but this stove is in excellent condition and has never been burned. We will be happy to accomodate any shipping preferences, local pick up, truck shipment (there is a place locally that will custom build a crate and pack it in foam), or we would possibly drive to meet someone for pick up for a little gas money. Please feel free to contact us to discuss any of the options or if you would like any other information or have any questions.
